Matcha & Tea Pop-up Shop
Mun Matcha is a Japanese–Somali inspired tea brand rooted in nature, ritual, and intentional living. As a conceptual project, it serves as a framework for exploring how design can reinterpret the traditional tea experience through a contemporary and culturally informed lens. Guided by thephilosophies of community, culture, and simplicity,I blended arabic and japanese calligraphy to form the primary logo. My color palette is inspired by spices from the tea cultures of Somalia and Japan, another means to merge cultures. The overall brand identity is minimal, earthy, culturally grounded, and community-centered.
