ABOUT
Designer: Noelle Daunch
Background
I was born and raised in Cloverdale, a small town in Northern California wine country. My 2022 high school graduating class had only 78 people, me being 1 of them. I committed to San Diego State University with a Graphic Design major and Interdisciplinary Studies minor, a component of being in the Weber Honors College. I later took on a minor in Marketing. I joined an assortment of clubs in campus: The Fashion Club, The Hiking Club, and The Look Magazine. I stayed with The Look all 4-years of my undergrad, interning and ultimately becoming the Director of Graphic Design for the publication.

Study Abroad Experience
During my undergrad, I also completed a summer study-abroad experience in Florence, Italy. I studied brand design at Istituto Lorenzo de' Medici under Anna Karin Cedérus, a course not offered at San Diego State. It blended my fields of Marketing and Graphic Design, giving me insights on industry and design theory. I also gained invaluable experiences like making lifelong friends and immersing myself in art history and culture!
Design Philosophy
I believe design is more than a method to sell products and services. It is interactive art that serves humanity, guides experiences and calls viewers to action. Good design is experimental and boundary breaking. It is an extension of the designer themselves, as all art is, and serves as both an avenue of industry and creative expression. With the advancement of technology, I believe it's important that design stays adabtable.
