During this freelance client-based project, I worked with directly with the owner of Drovers Distillery in Willits, CA. Using his pre-existing logo, I helped him find a solution for his spirit labels. This solution was allowing him to write, by hand, the contents of the bottle on the label. Not only did this allow him to reuse the same label for his small-batch system and stay organized during manufacturing, but the hand-written element reinforced the home grown roots of the owners distilling practice. These roots are a key ingredient of Drovers Distillery and is what sets it apart from other local distillers, making it vital to highlight in the design and overall brand messaging.
